Summary

Visit us at www.projectlikkuteitorah.comHosafos of Parshas Yisro1. Every parsha that starts with - “vayidaber H’ [...] lemor”  (Hashem spoke … to say) is the concept of repeating each and every word of the king, i.e. kesser, which is above middos. The days of sefira are a rectification through a hamshacha from the pnimi (inner) of kesser. Shavuos is makif (surrounding) of kesser. Kesser is the medaber (speaker), malchut is the dibur - speech. 2. Why is the Torah called weakening and strength?Kesser is the letters of kares (cutting off), as in, all your enemies will be cut off. The Torah comes from kesser and therefore weakens the sitra achara (other side). And Torah gives strength to the Yiddin. Along with strength, Hashem gives His nation peace, of which there are 2 types, above (oneness, connecting ma’atzil to ne’etzalim) and below (multitudinous, connecting atzilus to beriah). This corresponds to the two crowns given at Mt. Sinai, one of kesser of atzilut, and one of malchut of atzilut (kesser of beriah).3. This is in the third month they arrived at the Sinai midbar (desert). I.e. the shine of kesser drawn from Shavuos. From the beginning of Sivan on, i.e. when malchus is ‘complete’, these days receive from kesser. Kesser is the bitul known as midbar, where there’s no rulership to the hitzonim (externalities). They then traveled from Refidim, i.e. refion (weakness) of hands, of the other side.4. & this is Anochi Hashem Elokeicha asher hotzesi m’eretz miztrayim. Mitzrayim (egypt) is meitzar yam, limit of the sea, tzimtzim of malchus, a contraction concealment, of BYiA. This going has 2 levels: an arousal from below during sefira, and the shine of kesser from chag shavuos which weakens and cuts off.Kesser is oneness, above middos, like the single point of the moon at the beginning of the month. And talmud torah is through speech! Speech is rooted in bechirah and ratzon, a spreading out of will called kesser, into the 7 middos. Shavuos is one day because there is only 1 ratzon pashut (straightforward will) - matan torah.  Support the show

Hosafos of Parshas Yisro

2. Why is the Torah called weakening and strength?

Kesser is the letters of kares (cutting off), as in, all your enemies will be cut off.

Sinai, one of kesser of atzilut, and one of malchut of atzilut (kesser of beriah).

3. They then traveled from Refidim, i.e. refion (weakness) of hands, of the other side.

This going has 2 levels: an arousal from below during sefira, and the shine of kesser from chag shavuos which weakens and cuts off.
